Khufu

Thursday, May 23, 2013

Khufu was the second king of the Fourth Dynasty, a son of King Sneferu and queen Hetepheres, and the builder of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

In spite of that pyramid largely represents the spirit of ancient Egypt, the king who built his pyramid tomb, did not leave very little recorded information about his reign. Khufu was sentenced about three or four and twenty years ago.

It is ironic that despite the magnitude of the pyramid, the only statue that we have of King Khufu itself is only a small statue carved of ivory with a length of about three inches.
